As a published author of two award-winning women’s fiction novels, All That is Sacred and Of Lies and Honey,  and several poems in various poetry anthologies, I’ve walked the journey myself. As an aspiring writer and since my novels have been published, I’ve worked with many critique partners and have served as a beta reader for fellow authors. I’ve taken the time to donate my services on behalf of a variety of charities to which I’ve donated writing critiques and coaching calls (Authors4LA, Women’s Fiction Writers’ Association Auction, Authors for Appalachia, Artists Against AntiSemitism). I know, firsthand, the challenges writers face and I love teaching writers how to overcome them.

I’m also the creator and cohost of the award-winning Author’s Talking Bookish podcast, where I share these hard-earned lessons, tips, and strategies to help writers pave a smoother path to success. 

With over 35 years as an English teacher, both at the high school level and as a university adjunct, I’ve taught creative writing, AP Language and Composition, British Literature/UCONN ECE, American Literature, Reading Lit/Reading Film and speech. For the last several years, I’ve offered one-on-one instruction to college seniors who are writing their college essays. I’ve dedicated my career to helping writers by coaching them to find their voices and sharpen their craft to bring their stories to life.
